Karia Technologies was built on the shoulders of Karia Diamonds — a family enterprise with more than five decades of mastery in diamond sourcing, cutting, and application. What began as a jewelry house became the foundation for something far greater: the industrial diamond revolution that semiconductors demand.

The challenge facing the semiconductor industry today is not computational — it's physical. Heat. Power density. The thermal ceiling that stops every chip, every power module, every quantum system from reaching its full potential. We exist to remove that ceiling.

Our India-based manufacturing eliminates the geopolitical supply risk inherent in European and American diamond suppliers. By combining our family's deep diamond knowledge with modern Chemical Vapor Deposition technology, we deliver device-grade CVD diamond wafers at pricing that makes diamond the obvious — not aspirational — engineering choice.

We serve large enterprises, mid-market innovators, and deep-tech startups. Every customer receives the same commitment: precision, purity, and partnership.

Leadership

The founders behind the mission.

Two complementary visions — materials expertise and operational excellence — united by the conviction that diamond is the defining material of the next technological era.

Kyla Ruane
CEO & Co-Founder

Kyla leads Karia's strategic vision, go-to-market execution, and enterprise partnerships. With a background bridging business development and materials science, she identified the structural gap between the emerging semiconductor industry's demand for advanced thermal substrates and the availability of cost-competitive CVD diamond supply chains.

She has built Karia from an idea into a operating company in under two years — securing manufacturing partnerships in India, building a customer pipeline across AI infrastructure, quantum computing, and defense sectors.

Dhrumil Rangani
COO & Co-Founder

Dhrumil oversees operations, supply chain, and technical delivery at Karia. He brings deep operational expertise spanning India's diamond manufacturing ecosystem — uniquely positioned to translate Karia Diamonds' legacy into a vertically integrated CVD diamond production platform.

His expertise bridges the family's 50-year diamond expertise with modern CVD process engineering, quality systems (Raman characterization, birefringence imaging, thermal flash analysis), and the supply chain discipline required to deliver 3-week lead times consistently.

Our Journey

From diamonds to deep tech.

A 50-year family diamond legacy, transformed into the industrial substrate company the semiconductor age demands.

Before 2023

Karia Diamonds — 50 Years of Mastery

The Karia family built five decades of expertise in diamond sourcing, grading, cutting, and trade. This unmatched institutional knowledge in diamond material behavior forms the foundation of Karia Technologies' technical edge.

2023

Karia Technologies Founded

Kyla Ruane and Dhrumil Rangani co-found Karia Technologies, pivoting the family diamond business toward industrial B2B applications. First CVD diamond wafer samples produced and characterized. Headquarters established in Boston, Massachusetts.

2025

B2B Scale — Semiconductor & Defense

Expanded production to include 1–4 inch polycrystalline wafers, single crystal plates up to 25×25 mm, and precision diamond powders. Active supply relationships across AI infrastructure, quantum computing, and aerospace/defense sectors.

2027+

Leading Commercialization at Scale

Roadmap to lead the global commercialization of diamond components — from substrate to device-ready wafers — through deep R&D partnerships, increased manufacturing capacity, and establishment as the cost-benchmark supplier to the semiconductor industry.

Why India Manufacturing?
🌏

No Trade Barriers

India-based production eliminates the tariff and export-control complexities that burden European and US CVD diamond suppliers, especially for defense and quantum applications.

💎

1/10th Competitor Cost

Lower operational costs combined with the family's 50-year supply chain relationships enable pricing that makes diamond a practical engineering material — not a luxury.

3-Week Lead Time

Industry-leading turnaround time with in-stock inventory for the most common specifications. Rapid prototyping cycles for R&D teams.

🔬

Full Characterization

Every wafer ships with a Certificate of Analysis including Raman spectroscopy, thermal diffusivity, surface roughness, and birefringence mapping.
